Dinner Series: FBI Hostage Negotiations

Timothy Healy: Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Healy entered the FBI in March 2009 and initially conducted Counterintelligence investigations of foreign adversaries, insider threats, and economic espionage. He then investigated Violent Crimes and Major Offenders, and Special Jurisdiction investigations on Fort Bragg, NC. In October 2018, SSA Healy was assigned to the FBI Critical Incident Response Group Crisis Negotiation Unit. He is responsible for responding operationally, both nationally and internationally, to ongoing hostage, barricade incidents and kidnapping events. SSA Healy is also responsible for training federal, state, local, and international law enforcement officials in crisis negotiation, suicide intervention and crisis management.  

Prior to joining the FBI, SSA Healy served as an Armor and Military Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army.  His deployments include 15 months to the border of Afghanistan-Pakistan and 12 months to Baghdad, Iraq. He is an FBI Adjunct Instructor in Crisis Negotiations.
