Dinner Series: From Kavanaugh to Khashoggi

We welcomed Karoun Demirjian , a reporter for the Washington Post who covers national security policy. Karoun shared her journey from graduate school to working at the Post. Student attendees described the conversation as “candid, open, and refreshing.” Demirjian reflected on her experience negotiating access to information on high interest issues from the Kavanaugh hearings to U.S.-Saudi relations.
About the Speaker
Karoun Demirjian covers national security policy for the Washington Post, with a focus on defense, foreign policy, intelligence and matters concerning the judiciary. She was a correspondent based in The Washington Post’s bureau in Moscow and has worked for the Las Vegas Sun, the Associated Press in Jerusalem, the Chicago Tribute, the Congressional Quarterly, and NPR. She is a graduate of the Fletcher School at Tufts University and Harvard University.
