Alison Taetzsch

Co-Chair/McCourt Ambassador

Alison Taetzsch earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a minor in Spanish at Wheaton College (Illinois) and also completed a term at the University of Oxford in history, race, and gender studies. She then honed messaging skills as an independent copywriter for international disaster relief and nonprofit fundraising organizations. She has orchestrated fundraising support at Opportunity International, an international microfinance organization.

As the daughter of a bipartisan household in the Chicago area, Alison has always believed in the power of a person-centered approach. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Public Policy degree at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. She interned at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities this summer and works to promote cross-ideological connection, rigorous analysis and bias reduction as the Director of Communications at the McCourt Migration and Refugee Policy Initiative.
