Dialogue Across Divides

Wednesday, November 17
CTL Director Rachel Milner Gillers led a session on Dialogue Across Divides for the McCourt Leadership Fellows,  a program that helps selected public policy graduate students hone leadership skills while mentoring incoming students.  The session focused on a methodology for dialogue that utilizes deep empathy and active listening, names differences in a constructive manner, and draws people into conversation with one another. She showed footage from live dialogue facilitated by Resetting the Table , a leader in transformative communication across political divides. Participants then practiced core dialogue skills in group discussion.
